Abstract

In January 2024, Singaraja saw year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.80 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.43.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in eight expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.10 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.22 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.58 percent; health group by 1.85 percent; transportation group at 0.57 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.35 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.03 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.01 percent. Meanwhile, three other expenditure group indices experienced deflation or held back the inflation that occurred in Singaraja, namely the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 1.43 percent; information, communication and financial services group with a depth of 0.53 percent; and the education group is 0.18 percent deep.

Meanwhile, on a month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) basis, Singaraja in January 2024 experienced the same level of deflation, namely 0.22 percent.
