Abstract

In January 2025 Singaraja experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.13.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in seven expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 8.69 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.89 percent; health group by 2.51 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.89 percent; education group by 1.42 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 1.58 percent; and personal care and other services group by 4.30 percent. Meanwhile, four other expenditure group indices experienced deflation or restrained inflation in Singaraja, namely the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 13.24 percent; the household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.18 percent; the transportation group by 0.86 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.46 percent.

Meanwhile, on a month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) basis Singaraja in January 2025 experienced the same level of deflation at 0.53 percent.
