Abstract

In April 2024, Singaraja saw year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.69 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.99.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in seven expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 10.72 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.10 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.04 percent; health group by 1.87 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.85 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.02 percent. Meanwhile, four other expenditure group indices experienced deflation or held back the inflation that occurred in Singaraja, namely the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 2.42 percent; transportation group as deep as 0.83 percent; information, communication and financial services group with a depth of 0.77 percent; and the education group is 0.18 percent deep.

Meanwhile, on a month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) basis, Singaraja in April 2024 experienced inflation rates as high as 0.07 percent and 1.26 percent, respectively.
