Abstract

In November 2018 the city of Singaraja recorded inflation of 0.10 percent with the Consumer Price Index (2012 CPI = 100) amounting to 141.09. The inflation rate for the calendar year (January - November 2018) was recorded at 1.02 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2018 to November 2017 or YoY) was recorded at 2.16 percent.

Inflation is indicated by an increase in the index in the six expenditure groups, namely the clothing group by 0.70 percent; the transportation, communication and financial services group by 0.46 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.24 percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel by 0.24 percent; the health group by 0.22 percent and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.04 percent. While the group recorded a decrease in index or deflation was the foodstuffs group by 0.39 percent.

Commodities listed as contributing or contributing to inflation in November 2018 include: shallots, broiler meat, beans, non-subsidized gasoline, house rent, house contracts, clove cigarettes, apples, rice, mobile phone credit rates, cooking oil and long beans .
